The Vande Bharat Express is scheduled to depart from Yesvantpur at 6:05 AM and is expected to reach Madgaon by 7:15 PM. The return service will leave Madgaon at 5:30 AM and arrive in Yesvantpur by 6:40 PM, offering a quick and convenient round-trip service for travelers.

Enhanced Efficiency for Quicker Travel

A key feature of this proposed service is the effort to optimize the train’s route, ensuring that it runs as efficiently as possible. In order to reduce overall travel time, the Vande Bharat Express will bypass Mangaluru Junction and Mangaluru Central stations. Instead, it will take the Padil bypass route, a decision made specifically to speed up the journey. By avoiding these stations, the train can maintain a more direct path, reducing unnecessary stops and delays.

Additionally, the South Western Railway (SWR) has put forward a proposal to increase the speed limits on certain segments of the route. Specifically, the stretch between Chikka Banawara and Hassan is slated for an upgrade, with the speed limit set to increase from 110 km/h to 130 km/h. This change will help the train cover the distance between these two points more quickly, contributing to the overall time reduction. Similarly, the Ghat section between Sakleshpur and Subrahmanya Road, which has historically been a slower area due to sharp curves and inclines, will see the speed limit rise from 30 km/h to 40 km/h. The train departs from Asarwa at 5:45 PM, arriving in Udaipur City at 10:00 PM. The return service, train number 26963, operates daily (except on Tuesdays), leaving Udaipur City at 6:10 AM and reaching Asarwa at 10:25 AM.
