Vero ka Math- A Temple in Kumbhalgarh Rajasthan

Vero ka Math is a temple devoted to Lord Shiva and Lord Parashuram. It is about 10 km away from Kumbhalgarh in Rajasthan. It is also the origin point of Banas River. I visited it as part of what is popular on tourist itinerary, the village safari. The route leading to the math is scenic. When we reached there, it was almost empty, there were not more than five people including my daughter, me and the priest of the temple! The temple is devoted to Lord Shvia and his idol...

It gives you a wonderful feel of the place. In November, the weather was perfect for traveling in an open jeep. If you wish, you can do this in a regular car too. We had a great driver and we thoroughly enjoyed our day! We were in good mood as we entered the open jeep at our hotel, the wonderful Radisson...

Celebrating 20 Years of India

December 2025 marks 20 years of India On December 4, 2005, I faced a moment of sheer terror. I was about to board a plane in Toronto, Canada bound for Delhi, India. My return ticket was dated for June 2006. And I had no idea what would happen in those six months in between. I had never been to a place like India, never travelled alone for such an extended period of time, and had absolutely no idea what to expect. I had given up my apartment, put my stuff in...
