Discover The Wonders Of The Falkland Islands And Antarctica With Julia Bradbury’s Latest Adventure

HX Expeditions has partnered with ITV for Julia Bradbury’s Wonders of the Frozen South. The three-part documentary will air starting February 15, 2026, on ITV1. The documentary will also focus on the know-how of the Southern Ocean and the fight to save the ecosystems of the Southern Ocean. The documentary will also include the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, and Antarctica.

HX Expeditions is adventurous and explorative in nature, and so is Julia Bradbury. Bradbury will board the specially designed expedition vessel, MS Fram, for 23 days. The documentary will focus on the Southern Hemisphere and also on the fragile environments along the Southern Hemisphere and the Southern Ocean ecosystems.

Exploring the Frozen South

Julia Bradbury’s documentary series goes from the southernmost tip of South America to the Southern Ocean. She will be traversing remote and untouched areas that, for the last 130 years of HX Expeditions, have been showcased to their customers. These areas are some of the wildest and most unexploited areas of the world, but the ecosystems and wildlife are rarer and more endangered.

For the last 130 years, HX Expeditions has tried to educate travelers on the wild and rugged places they visit. Bradbury and HX Expeditions hope to inspire the audience to appreciate and protect the Southern Ocean.

The Voyage: Falkland Islands, South Georgia, and Antarctica

The Docuseries consists of 3 episodes, each aligned with a leg of the trip. The first episode will take place on the Falkland Islands, a remote and wild archipelago that has colonies of tons of different types of seabirds, seals, and, of course, penguins! Bradbury will tour the islands and showcase the wild and harsh environments that the islands contain, and showcase the animals that call these areas home.

The second episode will showcase Bradbury’s journey to South Georgia, which has often been said to be one of the most untouched and beautiful islands in the world, with incredible towering mountains, massive glaciers, and tons of king penguins! That episode will display and explore one of the most extreme environments on the planet, showcase the island’s natural history, and all of the reasons it is considered a major conservation area.

In the last episode, Bradbury visits Antarctica – a place that is truly the final frontier for many explorers. This cold, harsh, and vast land mass is one of the last frontiers that is still extremely fragile and unexplored. While its massive ice sheets and distinct ecosystems are crucial to the continued health of the planet, and therefore the focus of many conservation efforts, Bradbury’s venture will also make evident the beauty that is the great white south, along with the need for responsible tourism in such fragile regions.

Celebrating the 130th Anniversary of HX Expeditions

The imminent release of ‘Julia Bradbury’s Wonders of the Frozen South’ also coincides with HX Expeditions’ 130th anniversary. For over a hundred years, the company has been a pioneer in expedition travel and has brought its guests to the most far-flung and largely untraveled regions of the planet. The anniversary is a testament to the company’s enduring legacy in the fields of conservation, exploration, and education. In 2023, HX Expeditions turns 25 years old! To commemorate this special occasion, HX expeditions has come up with another promotion for travel agents! While the travel agents’ series airs from February 15th, 2023, to March 1st, travel agents making confirmed bookings will receive a chance to win the grand prize with a bonus entry! The winner will receive a two-night expedition experience from May 5th to May 7th, 2026, on board the MS Fram that’s leaving from Hamburg to Heligoland. This Mega FAM experience will be the agents’ first time to travel on an expedition cruise. This will give them a better idea of what their clients will be experiencing on the cruise.

With this promotion, travel agents will be able to gain first hand experience, which will give them the ability to gain true testimonials for their customers. This will also be a way to show appreciation for the company’s rich history.

Travel Expeditions and Ecosystem Protection

Part of the mission for HX Expeditions, in partnership with Julia Bradbury and her documentary series, is to spotlight ecosystem protection and the consequences of human interaction with delicate ecosystems. The Southern Oceans and locations like the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, and Antarctica suffer from environmental issues, including climate change and pollution. With the documentary, HX Expeditions hopes to motivate travelers to approach the Southern Oceans with appreciation and to understand the significance and the need to protect locations like these for generations to come.

Travels with Bradbury’s will demonstrate that responsible travel, ticket buyers, and travel agents all play a part in the preservation of these magnificent locations. The documentary will highlight the ecosystems and provide a vulnerable side to these environments in hopes of championing environmental stewardship in viewers.

Conclusion

Starting in February, viewers watching Julia Bradbury’s Wonders of the Frozen South on ITV get to take in the beauty of the most breathtaking places in the world, and, incredibly, the filming locations for South Georgia, The Falklands, and Antarctica are locations where visual splendor meets the dwindling yet critical fight for this planet’s conservation. HX Expeditions is celebrating its 130th anniversary, and the collaboration with Julia Bradbury is a lovely way to showcase the company’s legacy. The video’s locations focus on scenic places before humans entered the area, and the company is dedicated to conservation and the protective exploration of the earth.

For travel agents, participating in this double-entry prize draw is a fun way to get familiar with the company and voyage to experience expedition travel. With the sustainable travel movement and the target audience’s environmental awareness, HX Expeditions’ new collection and its anniversary will raise awareness of the feelings of professionals in the travel industry/travelers, and the influence they will have on the earth.
