Regent Seven Seas Doubles Down on Luxury with Fourth Prestige-Class Ship
Regent Seven Seas Doubles Down on Luxury with Fourth Prestige-Class Ship
In a move that cements its dominance over the high-seas luxury market, Regent Seven Seas Cruises® has officially confirmed the order of a fourth Prestige-Class vessel. The announcement, made today in Singapore, outlines a long-term vision that extends the cruise line’s partnership with Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri well into the next decade.
With the first of the series, Seven Seas Prestige, currently under construction and slated for a December 2026 debut, this latest agreement ensures a steady pipeline of ultra-luxury tonnage. The second and third sister ships are scheduled for delivery in 2030 and 2033, while this newly announced fourth addition is expected to join the fleet in 2036.
A Legacy of Space and Sophistication
The Prestige-Class represents Regent’s first entirely new ship category in ten years, and the specifications suggest a radical shift in how “luxury” is measured. In an industry often focused on packing more passengers into larger hulls, Regent is taking the opposite tack.
The Seven Seas Prestige will weigh in at 77,000 tons—roughly 40% larger than the line’s previous Explorer-Class vessels—yet it will accommodate only 822 guests. This results in one of the highest space-to-guest ratios in maritime history. With 630 crew members on hand to service those 822 guests, the level of intuitive, personalised attention is set to reach a near 1:1 parity in some departments.
“When Seven Seas Prestige went on sale in June 2025, we enjoyed the biggest single booking day for the launch of a new ship in our history,” noted Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer. “We are confident that each ship in this remarkable class will be equally sought-after.”
Redefining the Suite Life
The accommodation aboard the Prestige-Class is designed to feel less like a cabin and more like a high-end coastal residence. The ships will feature 12 distinct suite categories, all including private balconies.
The crown jewel of this new era is the Skyview Regent Suite. While specific dimensions are being kept under wraps for now, Regent has confirmed it will be the largest all-inclusive, ultra-luxury suite ever built for a cruise ship. These living spaces are complemented by public areas designed to maximise natural light, most notably the Starlight Atrium and the art-centric Galileo’s Bar.
Culinary Innovation: “Epicurean Perfection”
Regent has long been a favourite for gourmands, and the Prestige-Class looks to expand that reputation. The ship will offer 11 distinct dining experiences, including:
Azure: A brand-new Mediterranean concept focused on mezze-style dining.
Signature Favourites: Returning classics such as Prime 7 (steakhouse), Chartreuse (French), and Pacific Rim (Asian fusion).
A Mystery Venue: One additional dining concept remains “under wraps,” to be revealed closer to the 2026 launch.
True to the brand’s “all-inclusive” ethos, these gourmet experiences—along with fine wines, spirits, and even Starlink WiFi—are included in the base fare.
The 2026 Inaugural Season
For those looking to be among the first to experience this new standard of travel, the countdown to 13 December 2026 has begun. The Seven Seas Prestige will begin its life with a 14-night festive transatlantic crossing from Barcelona to Miami.
The inaugural season will span 13 voyages, visiting:
The Caribbean & Panama Canal: Sailing from Miami, Los Angeles, and New York.
European Coastal Gems: Focusing on the Iberian Peninsula and the French coast, featuring multiple overnight stays in boutique ports like Bordeaux.
With up to 97 shore excursions included per voyage, the Prestige-Class isn’t just about the time spent on the ship; it’s about providing a seamless, sophisticated bridge to the world’s most iconic destinations.
