The strain on both the airline industry and passenger services may discourage future visitors who prioritize convenience and reliability when planning their vacations. Moreover, canceled flights mean that travelers are likely to seek alternative destinations or decide to stay closer to home, limiting Rhode Island’s draw as a tourism hub.
