Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA has announced its latest venture in Georgia through the management agreement which it signed for Wyndham Grand Borjomi, a prestigious hotel and branded residences project which is set to open in 2028. This location in the Borjomi district’s Likani Forest area establishes the Wyndham Grand Borjomi as a primary luxury hotel because the district includes mineral springs and the historic Romanov Palace. The company will operate its third property in Georgia which represents an important milestone for Aimbridge EMEA to grow its business operations in that area.

A Premium Nature-Inspired Resort Destination

The Wyndham Grand Borjomi will blend upscale hospitality with branded residential living, offering a unique experience for both guests and residents. The development will feature a 100-room Wyndham Grand hotel and 430 Wyndham Grand Residences, offering a blend of hospitality and private living. The hotel will cater to upper upscale clientele, with an emphasis on creating a luxury retreat set within Georgia’s breathtaking natural landscape.

Guests will enjoy an extensive range of top-tier amenities, including both indoor and outdoor pools, a state-of-the-art spa and wellness centre, a fully equipped gym, and multiple dining venues. A rooftop bar will offer panoramic views of the surrounding forest, while dedicated meeting and event spaces cater to business and leisure events alike. These facilities will ensure the Wyndham Grand Borjomi becomes a highly sought-after destination for both relaxation and corporate gatherings.

A Strategic Collaboration for Success

The collaboration between Aimbridge Hospitality, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, and the local investors, NCD Investment LLC and UPCO LLC was carefully chosen to ensure the success of the project. Aimbridge Hospitality, with its wealth of experience in managing high-end hotels, will bring its renowned expertise in hospitality management to the development. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, known for its extensive global presence and renowned brands, will lend its trusted name to the Borjomi destination.

This new development is part of Aimbridge Hospitality’s broader strategy to expand its presence in the Georgian hospitality market. The company views Georgia as a market rich in untapped potential, combining stunning natural beauty with a strong focus on offering exceptional hospitality experiences to visitors.

The partnership reflects the ongoing growth of Georgia as a tourism hub in the Caucasus region. The country’s appeal as a travel destination is amplified by its impressive natural landscapes, ancient history, and a growing hospitality infrastructure that aims to meet international standards. This unique positioning will help the Wyndham Grand Borjomi attract a diverse clientele, ranging from international tourists seeking a luxurious escape to residents looking for upscale, branded living in one of Georgia’s most scenic locations.

The Future of Borjomi as an International Resort Destination

According to Vassilis Themelidis, Regional Director for South & East Europe at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the Wyndham Grand Borjomi is a prime example of the type of development Wyndham prioritises in emerging leisure destinations. With a strong focus on providing premium hospitality experiences in distinctive locations, the brand’s involvement in Borjomi reflects its dedication to supporting the region’s growth as a world-class resort market.

The new development also aims to boost the Borjomi district’s tourism industry, positioning it as a competitive destination for both international and regional visitors. The area is already renowned for its healing mineral waters and national parks, making it an ideal location for a nature-driven, wellness-focused luxury resort.
